The first Appetitos
outlet was opened by Peter ILIC & Michael ILIC, the companies founders,
in September 1988. After eight years of fine tuning the operating system
and profitable trading, the decision was made in 1996 to commence franchising.
Since then Appetitos has grown to become Australia's largest quick
service Italian style food court eatery franchise.
Over the past 17 years the Appetitos concept has evolved into a finely
tuned operating system that is proven in all of its locations throughout
Australia.

Training and Ongoing Support
Ongoing support
and commitment make Appetitos a simple business to operate. As compared
to starting your own business, your Appetitos is a true Turn-key operation.
In other words all of the setup and initial preparation is done for
you. Appetitos designs the store, orders the equipment, arranges and
supervises the construction. The end result is a store which looks incredible
and has an ambience which is warm and inviting to customers.
When it comes to training, it doesn't matter what your previous experience
is, the Appetitos training program will ensure you're ready to open
your store.
Once your store is open Appetitos continues to provide support in
order to maximise sales and operating efficiency by monitoring food
costs, labour costs and other operating costs.
The Training covers everything you need to know to run a successful
business.

Operations
We
are committed to providing advice and support to our Franchisees.
Direct management assistance is provided by our Operations Team in
pre-opening activities, such as supply sourcing and purchasing, and
set up of operating systems and procedures in time for the actual
commissioning of your store.
During the pre-opening period, Appetitos will assist the Franchisee
in the recruitment and training of staff, strategies to promote consumer
awareness for store opening, store merchandising, point of sale promotions
and competitive price positioning.

Financial and Information Systems
Support
is given through:
Electronic sales data, Internet enabled computer systems, Advanced
PC compatible cash register systems, Profitability analysis, general
accounting support and Payroll systems.

Technical
Support
Appetitos Franchise Systems has strict standards for the quality
and presentation of Appetitos stores and products, to ensure that these
standards are properly understood and maintained, new Franchisees are required
to undertake a total of five weeks formal competency based training which
is broken down as follows: Initially, a two week formal technical training
in our nominated training store perfecting production techniques and schedules.
This is followed by one week of training covering issues such as operations,
financial reporting, legal obligations, marketing, computers, cash register,
accounting and record keeping, staff rostering, production and wastage
control. Finally, new Franchisees then have the services of a dedicated
Appetitos trainer during the first two weeks of their store opening.
This solid foundation of training equips Franchisees with all they need
to know to successfully operate their business.
